RE: Cedar Creek 5th Wheel

We love our bunk house, had no issues. Cedar Creek and my dealer have been great when I have had questions. I am 6'2" and I love the bedroom height, I couldnt stand in most of the others, especially Sunnybrook. I am curious as well, what standard options didn't it come with. What model year and what are you comparing too. They did chnage some options for 09 and ours is an 09 Silverback. You don't mention what model you are looking at.

RE: How does dealer add second a/c and divide ductwork?

More than likely straight down, thats how our Cedar Creek is. It's nice to just use the fan and circulate the air more also.

RE: What 5th wheel hitch do you have and how do you like it?

PPullrite Super Fifth. I like it a lot, easy to use. has full wrap around on the pin, not just a clamshell and also when I remove it, THERE IS NOTHING LEFT IN THE BED! No pucks, just four holes for the pins. I like that there is tight tolerances and it pulls like a dream, no bucking, no chunking, rides great.

RE: winterizing a 5th

I like to put it up on the landing strips i have. They are plastic sheets and keep a good barrier between the ground and the tires, lately i have been using 2*10 since my parking area is gravel and the plastic and gravel don't mix. I wouldn't bother putting it on blocks etc.. You can lift some weight off with the front and rear jacks, but I think the block is over kill.

RE: Trip to Wishon/Shaver......sick kid...Childrens Hospital

Glad there was a happy ending. we had the same thing with our youngest, who has a nebulizer and we ran out of meds. Nothing like swinging a rig around in a hospital lot!! I wish we had rv hooks where we went.... Happy Camping!!

RE: Golf Carts at Disney World

yes you can under seat, however make sure you hook up the converter correctly or the lights will be bright then blow quickly (48 volts), I found out the hard way...

RE: Pullrite Hitch

I have a super fifth, fully removable. I love it, easy in and out when needed, easy to hook up to. I also like the full wrap around hitching better than the standard clam shell.

RE: Central NJ to Hershey PA

When we run to Hershey thats how we go. 298 to 78 to 81 to Hershey. Ride is fine, just don't get on 78 around rush hour, it can be a drag. Our preferred time to roll out of North Jersey is around 2 if possible.

RE: Plugged In?

We leave it plugged in and fridge on. The fridge only stays on if we are going to go somewhere within two weeks, otherwise we shut it down and clean it out.

RE: Strange sound in rear of 08 3550 DRW

Alledgedly the rear end fluid turns to a molasses type consistentcy and doesn't allow the Eaton locker to unlock, all seems well after my rear end flush!

RE: Cost of 8' Bed repair ?

Check with some dealerships and converters in your area. My buddies got mangled by a bucket loader and they found one for $800.00 at a converters shop, just sitting there, even was the right color.

RE: Strange sound in rear of 08 3550 DRW

Apparenly according to my dealer I need my rear end flushed. I told him I didn't kow him that well. But I am getting it done Monday. Seems to be a common noise and the flushing cures it.
